About Us

Pioneer College of Arts and Science is located about 20 kms from Coimbatore city on the Mettupalayam Main Road. Placed in a calm atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The institution stands majestic as a rare combination of tradition and modernity.

A new building with spacious class rooms and excellent infrastructure, which includes a well-stocked library and well equipped Computer Laboratories (for U.G & P.G Courses), team of efficient, dedicated and along with well qualified staff, are the special features of this institution. Separate hostel facilities are available for men & women.

Logo & motto

Our College Motto as indicated beneath the emblem is "Onward with Honour". The salient objectives of our Institution, as specified in our emblem, are "Service to Humanity" and "Excellence in Higher Education".


The globe in the picture signifies the vastness of education, that we wish to impart and also a sense of Universal Brotherhood that we hope to inculcate in every student, through the various channels of education. The open book symbolizes the knowledge that students will develop in their road to achievement. The palette and brush is an allusion to the all round development of individuals. It serves to enhance their finer qualities such as the various forms of art. This is known to bring about inner peace in individuals.

The Trophy emphasizes the need for the enrichment of the body. A healthy and active body along with a sound mind makes an individual grow into a mature and responsible all rounder ready to take on the challenges of life. And above all, our pursuit of knowledge in its purest form will be achieved by excellence which is the hallmark of all our endeavors.

Pioneer Trust as the name goes, is a pioneer in the field of education and was founded in 1997 by (Late) Sri. G. Devarajan and Smt.D. Suguna. The Founder Trustee Smt. D. Suguna is an eminent Educationist and Philanthropist. Education for knowledge and personality building has been her motive and she has been well groomed through the years in this field by her experienced elders namely, Sri G. R. Govindarajulu and
Sri. G. K. Devarajulu.

Rich and varied has been our Founder Trustee's experience for the past three decades ranging from Kindergarten to Higher Secondary Education and from Polytechnic to Post Graduate Studies.

With the main objective of imparting modern and secular education to the youth of Coimbatore, especially to the rural section, in and around Perianaikenpalayam, the Trust established Pioneer College of Arts and Science in 1998. The management well known for its commitment to the cause of education has already imprinted its name efficiently managing all levels of School Education.

In establishing this College, they have moved into exploration of higher regions of education. The involvement of all the family members in this cause needs special mention.
